Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eva Gonzalès could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work L'Avant Port (Dieppe) changed hands for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eva Gonzalès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eva Gonzalès konnte im Februar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit L'Avant Port (Dieppe) für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74).
