This artwork by Fausto Melotti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in April 2016. In the Milan Modern and Contemporary auction, the work Le Scale Di Giacobbe sold for EUR 146,557.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fausto Melotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Pioggia in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fausto Melotti erzielte im April 2016 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Milan Modern and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Le Scale Di Giacobbe für EUR 146.557,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Melotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Pioggia im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
