This artwork by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale) auction, the work El Ciego sold for HKD 4,300,000.00 (€ 469,794.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Maiden With Fruits, 1930 sold at auction in March 2019 with the realized price of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
