Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fragile Balance by Françoise Gilot was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in February 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,795.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fragile Balance von Françoise Gilot wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.795,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
