Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, including Property from the Collection of, which included the work Fifth Avenue (1956) by Frank Paulin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,057.50 (€ 1,246.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Paulin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Love You (Chicago El), which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,490.30).
