The work Composition abstraite by František Kupka was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,682.28), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by František Kupka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,551,600.00 (€ 8,871,184.71).

Die Arbeit Composition abstraite von František Kupka wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.682,28) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von František Kupka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.551.600,00 (€ 8.871.184,71).
