Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition - Lueurs by František Kupka was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,029.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by František Kupka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,551,600.00 (€ 8,871,184.71).

Die Arbeit Composition - Lueurs von František Kupka wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 97.029,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von František Kupka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.551.600,00 (€ 8.871.184,71).
