Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Étude pour "Printemps Cosmique I" by František Kupka. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 151,200.00 (€ 176,187.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by František Kupka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,551,600.00 (€ 8,871,184.71).
