Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Central Park Zoo, New York City, 1962; Kennedy Airport, 1961; And Twa Terminal, Kennedy Airport, 1973 by Garry Winogrand. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,506.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Garry Winogrand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Are Beautiful in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).

Im April 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Central Park Zoo, New York City, 1962; Kennedy Airport, 1961; And Twa Terminal, Kennedy Airport, 1973 von Garry Winogrand zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.506,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Garry Winogrand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Are Beautiful im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48).
