Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Plage by Gaston Louis Roux was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gaston Louis Roux have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2012 the work Sans Titre, 1945 was auctioned for EUR 5,148.00.
