Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Georgia Graves, swimwear by Lelong, Paris by George Hoyningen-Huene for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,205.33). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George Hoyningen-Huene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fashion studies, 1939-1942 in February 2009 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,718.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Georgia Graves, swimwear by Lelong, Paris von George Hoyningen-Huene für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.205,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Hoyningen-Huene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fashion studies, 1939-1942 im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.718,53).
