Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work Rena by George Segal was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,277.95), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Segal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dancers in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).
