The work Petit cheval by Georges Braque was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,500.00 (€ 23,934.67), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).

Die Arbeit Petit cheval von Georges Braque wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.500,00 (€ 23.934,67) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
