A top price for Georges Braque
In May 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Paysage À La Ciotat by Georges Braque. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82). With this result, Paysage À La Ciotat is even the most expensive work of art by Georges Braque that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat von Georges Braque zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82) einen neuen Besitzer.
