Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Une Périssoire by Georges Seurat was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 449,000.00 (€ 425,108.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Seurat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) in November last year with an auction result of USD 149,240,000.00 (€ 144,570,376.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Une Périssoire von Georges Seurat kam im November 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 449.000,00 (€ 425.108,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Seurat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.240.000,00 (€ 144.570.376,83).
