Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forêt by Georges Valmier was sold in the Œuvres sur Papier auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2019. The price achieved of EUR 6,000 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as EUR 5,000 - 7,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Valmier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Au Compotier in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 725,000 (€ 582,891).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Forêt von Georges Valmier wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Œuvres sur Papier bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000 – 7.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Valmier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte Au Compotier im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 725.000 (€ 582.891).
