Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giò Pomodoro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in December 2018. In the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction, the work Superficie in tensione sold for EUR 19,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giò Pomodoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studio per la Grande folla in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 89,300,000.00 (€ 82,171.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giò Pomodoro erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea wurde die Arbeit Superficie in tensione für EUR 19.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giò Pomodoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studio per la Grande folla im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 89.300.000,00 (€ 82.171,61).
