Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale, which included the work Cavallo in riva al mare by Giorgio de Chirico. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 35,280.00 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio de Chirico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 15,890,400.00 (€ 13,643,341.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cavallo in riva al mare von Giorgio de Chirico zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 35.280,00 und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio de Chirico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.890.400,00 (€ 13.643.341,63).
