Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hannah Höch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2021. In the (Women) Artists auction, the work Begegnung mit dem Wesensfremden (Encounter with the Strange Being) sold for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,311.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Höch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frau und Saturn in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,085,000.00 (€ 1,235,612.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hannah Höch erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion (Women) Artists wurde die Arbeit Begegnung mit dem Wesensfremden (Encounter with the Strange Being) für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.311,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Höch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frau und Saturn im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.085.000,00 (€ 1.235.612,57).
