This artwork by Hao Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Shanghai in October 2014. In the Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work The Tale of Clouds sold for CNY 7,830,000.00 (€ 1,022,336.79) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 3,800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hao Liang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Poison Buddha 2 sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of HKD 16,975,000.00 (€ 1,859,839.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hao Liang erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Shanghai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Tale of Clouds für CNY 7.830.000,00 (€ 1.022.336,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 3.800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hao Liang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Poison Buddha 2 im Juli 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 16.975.000,00 (€ 1.859.839,48).
