Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Fashion study, 1979 by Helmut Newton. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,277.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fashion study, 1979 von Helmut Newton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.277,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helmut Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27).
