This artwork by Helmut Newton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April 2018. In the Photographs auction, the work Wolford Publicity', Monte Carlo, 1995 sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,599.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Helmut Newton erzielte im April 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Wolford Publicity', Monte Carlo, 1995 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.599,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helmut Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27).
