Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues and Leonor Fini, Italy, 1933 by Henri Cartier-Bresson was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,790.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Cartier-Bresson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Banks of the Marne, France in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60).
