Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Thames Near Sonning by Henry John Kinnaird was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,317.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry John Kinnaird - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Near Evesham On The Avon, Warwickshire; And View On The Ouse, Sussex (Illustrated), which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,583.67).
