Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wrapped Torso, 1989 by Herb Ritts was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2018. The price achieved of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,564.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herb Ritts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 220,377.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wrapped Torso, 1989 von Herb Ritts kam im April 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.564,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herb Ritts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 220.377,57).
