The work Six têtes (Six caricatures—L'evènement) by Honoré Daumier was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The result of USD 50,000 (€ 44,299) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000 - 70,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Honoré Daumier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000 (€ 2,024,176).

Die Arbeit Six têtes (Six caricatures—L'evènement) von Honoré Daumier wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000 (€ 44.299) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000 – 70.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Honoré Daumier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000 (€ 2.024.176).
