A top price for Huang Mingchun - as previously expected
The work Light 7 by Huang Mingchun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,035.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Light 7 is the most expensive artwork by Huang Mingchun that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Light 7 von Huang Mingchun kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.035,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Light 7 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Huang Mingchun, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
