Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ohne Titel. 1963. by Italo Valenti was auctioned at Koller in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of CHF 4,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for CHF 3,840.00 (€ 3,163.16). Admittedly, works by Italo Valenti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dardi di Luce, 1959 in December 2011 with an auction result of CHF 33,600.00 (€ 27,627.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ohne Titel. 1963. von Italo Valenti im Juni 2014 bei Koller versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für CHF 3.840,00 (€ 3.163,16) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Italo Valenti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dardi di Luce, 1959 im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 33.600,00 (€ 27.627,47).
