Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Jacques Doucet. The price achieved of EUR 15,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Doucet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tauromachie Ou Toreador, 1953 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 198,810.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacques Doucet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 15.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Doucet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tauromachie Ou Toreador, 1953 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 198.810,00.
