This artwork by Jason Martin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in August 2020. In the Contemporary Art| London auction, the work Hostage sold for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,533.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origin, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jason Martin erzielte im August 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art| London wurde die Arbeit Hostage für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.533,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origin beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46) versteigert wurde.
