Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jayashree Chakravarty was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,581.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jayashree Chakravarty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jayashree Chakravarty kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.581,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jayashree Chakravarty mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55) versteigert wurde.
