Upper estimate price exceeded by 50 %.
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled by Jayashree Chakravarty. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,039.19), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jayashree Chakravarty; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in March 2009 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled von Jayashree Chakravarty zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.039,19) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jayashree Chakravarty; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55).
