Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Jayashree Chakravarty. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,109.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jayashree Chakravarty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jayashree Chakravarty zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.109,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jayashree Chakravarty mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55) versteigert wurde.
