Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Œuvres sur Papier, which included the work Anna De Noailles by Jean Cocteau. The price achieved of EUR 2,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cocteau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranee - 1952 in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 132,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Œuvres sur Papier durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anna De Noailles von Jean Cocteau zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cocteau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranee - 1952 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.000,00.
