Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Jean Degottex was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 43,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Degottex have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ouest - 1959 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 188,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Jean Degottex kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 43.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Degottex auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ouest - 1959 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 188.500,00.
