This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Hélion achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraction in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,413,000.00 (€ 3,231,395.57).
