Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 26,400.00 (€ 21,378.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November last year the work Bord de mer was auctioned for USD 40,320.00 (€ 39,058.41).

Die Arbeit Nature Morte von Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 21.378,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
