The work Plume by Jim Nutt was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 478,800.00 (€ 440,397.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jim Nutt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Tooth", which sold at auction in October last year for SEK 10,500,000.00 (€ 960,791.22).

Die Arbeit Plume von Jim Nutt kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 440.397,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jim Nutt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Tooth" beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für SEK 10.500.000,00 (€ 960.791,22) versteigert wurde.
