Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Moma And Guggenheim by Jiri Georg Dokoupil for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,733.95). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiri Georg Dokoupil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 312,000.00 (€ 231,918.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Moma And Guggenheim von Jiri Georg Dokoupil für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.733,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiri Georg Dokoupil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.000,00 (€ 231.918,53).
