Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Celebrating Easter by Joan Gillchrest was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,480.00 (€ 5,191.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Gillchrest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jack'S View Of Mousehole in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Celebrating Easter von Joan Gillchrest wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.480,00 (€ 5.191,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Gillchrest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jack'S View Of Mousehole im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
