Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View St Ives by Joan Gillchrest was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,642.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Gillchrest achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jack'S View Of Mousehole in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View St Ives von Joan Gillchrest kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.642,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Gillchrest erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jack'S View Of Mousehole im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
