Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Personnages et oiseau dans la nuit by Joan Miró was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 1,314,500.00 (€ 1,010,376.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.314.500,00 (€ 1.010.376,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen.
