Upper estimate price exceeded by 33 %.
The work La Gare by Joaquín Torres-García was sold in the Oeuvres sur Papier auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 40,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Torres-García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).

Die Arbeit La Gare von Joaquín Torres-García wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Oeuvres sur Papier bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 40.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Torres-García erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construcción En Blanco im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.380.000,00 (€ 3.031.662,03).
