Auction result well in line with expectations
The work DAS SPIEGELBILDNISSIS der URZEITINNIN I by Jonathan Meese was sold in the First Open Online auction at Christies in London in September 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,019.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Meese achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).
