This artwork by Jonathan Meese achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2017. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Dr. Tyrannosaurys Rex De Meeseher sold for EUR 52,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Meese - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonathan Meese erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Dr. Tyrannosaurys Rex De Meeseher für EUR 52.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Meese mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 132.500,00 (€ 190.278,72) versteigert wurde.
