The work Sans titre by Josef Šíma was sold in the Art Contemporain Vente du Jour auction at Christies in Paris in December 2016. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 21,250.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Šíma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jour du royal bleu in June this year with an auction result of EUR 806,400.00.

Die Arbeit Sans titre von Josef Šíma wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 21.250,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Šíma erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jour du royal bleu im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 806.400,00.
