Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Una Cumbre de Mentiras by Julian Schnabel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 64,397.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Schnabel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ethnic Type #14 in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,452,500.00 (€ 1,220,793.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Una Cumbre de Mentiras von Julian Schnabel kam im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 64.397,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Schnabel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ethnic Type #14 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.452.500,00 (€ 1.220.793,41).
