Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Abu Zabi) by Julian Schnabel was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 8,371.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Schnabel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ethnic Type #14 in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,452,500.00 (€ 1,220,793.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Abu Zabi) von Julian Schnabel wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 8.371,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Schnabel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ethnic Type #14 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.452.500,00 (€ 1.220.793,41).
