Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Katherine Bernhardt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 19,050.00 (€ 17,522.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katherine Bernhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Katherine Bernhardt erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 19.050,00 (€ 17.522,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
