Auction result well in line with expectations
The work BomB 1 by Kaws was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 825,500.00 (€ 99,828.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit BomB 1 von Kaws kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 825.500,00 (€ 99.828,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
